Peter Jones Partners With Gwent Police To Launch “Green For Gwent” Recycling Initiative

Peter Jones, a leading provider of innovative carrying solutions for safety-critical industries, together with their sister company JC Moulding, is proud to announce a new partnership with Gwent Police to launch the Green for Gwent recycling initiative.

This forward-thinking collaboration aims to reduce environmental impact by reclaiming and repurposing used Peter Jones products. The company’s Delta range has been specifically designed to allow end-of-life items to be returned for recycling. These products will be processed at JC Moulding, where plastic components are re-ground and reused in future manufacturing.

The Delta Range is our new cost effective, recyclable product range which has been launched to support this initiative, offering cost-effective, sustainable, and lightweight carrying options for the devices and equipment that help keep workers safe. Whether used by emergency services, security personnel, industrial teams, or customer-facing workers, the Delta Range combines durability with environmental responsibility, reflecting the companies’ commitment to both innovation and social impact.  Peter Jones will also be making a donation for every item sold in its new Delta Range to Mind in Gwent to support their vital work in mental health advocacy and support services.

Andrew Griffiths, Head of Business Development at Peter Jones, commented:
“Partnering with Gwent Police provides a valuable opportunity to reclaim used products and give them a second life, rather than seeing them end up in landfill.”

Paul Black, Uniform, Equipment and PPE Lead at Gwent Police, added:
“This is a great opportunity for us to trial a Green for Gwent initiative that supports environmental sustainability. Items that cannot be recycled may still serve alternative purposes, such as props for acting schools or fundraising for charities.”

The pilot programme will run for an initial six-month period, during which the volume and type of recyclable products will be assessed. Dedicated recycling bins will be placed at Ystrad Mynach, Pontypool, and Blackwood stations as part of the first phase. Together, Peter Jones and Gwent Police are taking meaningful steps toward a greener future—one recycled product at a time.
