From one man’s passion for leatherwork and traditional craftsmanship, Peter Jones has grown into a team of 50 designers, manufacturers and global exporters. Over the years, some of the techniques may have changed, but the passion for excellence remains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founder and namesake, Peter Jones, began his working life as an apprentice saddler in the Welsh market town of Abergavenny. In time, he became a master saddler, creating saddles from the finest leathers for customers throughout the UK. It wasn’t long before Peter diversified into bullion bags, money bags, dog handling accessories and cases for the first portable radios.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Peter Jones (ILG) Limited was established as an industrial leather goods manufacturer with contracts for police and fire services throughout the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revolutionary changes in police communications in the 1980’s saw the development of innovative designs combining traditional leatherwork with modern synthetic materials and the latest technology. In 1989 our first factory was purchased to accommodate the increasing workload.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In 1998, we purchased our second engineering and warehousing facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter retired in 2003, making way for the next generation of family leadership and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In 2014<\/strong>, the business expanded with the acquisition of JC Moulding, bringing tooling manufacture and injection moulding in house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017<\/strong>, we celebrated our 50th<\/sup> year of business.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

With the company growing from strength to strength around the world, we rebranded in 2023 to reflect our modern approach, sense of purpose and innovation, while still embracing our company’s heritage and craftsmanship. We are looking forward to the next chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n
